Adjectifs démonstratifs et possessifs dans des romans graphiques italiens et français : espace et interlocution

Abstract : This study focuses on the uses of demonstrative and possessive adjectives, and related spatial adverbs, in Italian and French in a corpus of graphic novels. An historical overview of situations in Latin, Old French, Old Italian, and a comparison of a distribution in Contemporary French and regional distributions in Contemporary Italian, show an evolution of the spatial conception resulting, in contemporary French, in the exclusion of the person as a referent of the space in which develops the focusing dynamic, while in Italian, the questo / quello opposition builds itself on the relationship maintained between the person and its interaction space. We observe in the uses of demonstratives in North Italian a decrease in the varieties of space in relation with the distance 'near / far' criterion in favor of 'punctual / extensive' and 'internal / external' criterions, an evolution which progressed further in french.
