Geology and geomorphology of the Cheria region
Résumé
The region of Chéria is characterized by the juxtaposition of large SW-NE oriented depressions bounded by low narrow djebel systems of uplifted Eocene limestones. A series of five such depressions constitute the region of contact between the High Constantine Plains and the Nemenchas sensu stricto. From west to eats they are : the Ounrhal depression, the Outa Guert-Outa Gassès depression, the Outa Zora-Outa Guibeur depression, the Chéria depression, and the Telidjène depression. Our work has been confined to the latter two.
