Question des genres à l'école : les compétences langagières à travers l'exemple de la narration et de l'argumentation

Abstract : The article focuses on the practice of different genres in school and their stake in the development of the skills of 8 to 10 year old pupils. The comparison of two writing situations for two different genres (narrative and argumentative), with or without a preparatory study of the targeted genre, leads to the conclusion that there is a correlation between the conduct of preliminary work on gender and individual writing by young students. On the other hand, the study confirms that while some language skills are common to both genres, others are specific to each. A specific study of each genre is therefore necessary to accompany the young student in the development of his language skills.
