Une histoire philosophique du concept d’activité : quelques repères : 1 Première partie

Abstract : This text starts a reflexion on the history of the concept of activity, in accordance with what we propose as being the task and the goal of philosophical work at each moment of history. Following three criterions stemming from the ergological experience long of 30 years, we will draw a conceptualization guideline of the ergological concept of activity. Then, we will explore the philosophical sources that punctuated the emergence and the use of this concept. Our thesis is the following : the study of the philosophical past leads us to a double trajectory, diverging at the very beginning of the philosophical exercise. A first trajectory where the concept of activity will slowly emerge from the question on the conditions of possibility of true discourse, including divisions of intellectual powers and human faculties that are coming along with such a question. And a second trajectory, dealing with the conditions of possibility of the industrious act, which seem quite opposite to the first ones. It looks like the use of the concept of activity sends us always back more or less consciously, more or less explicitly, to the problematic and enigmatic necessity of seizing again the unity of human experience, beyond its apparently heterogeneous powers. This text is the beginning of this exploration : it tries to suggest the first trajectory, those of the conditions of true discourse, until the beginning of the post-Cartesian period.
