This study takes a look at the activity and the way in which the justice seigneuriale of Charroux (Poitou) functioned at the end of the Ancien Régime. It is based on the analysis of this court’s manuscripts that are kept at the Vienne (86) departmental archives. These documents reveal the diversity of cases heard by seigneurial judge Pierre-Annibal Thorin.
