De apropiaciones, recreaciones y cruces: mitos prehispánicos y mitología clásica occidental en la poesía de Centroamérica

Abstract : Historically, in the Central American region, the transculturation phenomenon has been very frequent. In this paper, firstly, we will outline a general overview of the mythological crossings in Central American literature and, secondly, analize some singular and representative cases from a corpus of texts belonging to Luz Méndez de la Vega (Guatemala, 1919-2012), “Penélope”, Tríptico (1980); Roberto Obregón (Guatemala, 1940-1970), “Gucumatz encadenado” (1961), Recuento de poesía (1995); and Amanda Castro (Honduras, 1962-2010), “La Creación”, Onironautas (2001).
