Abstract : Contemporary dance and music work is organized around three types of emblematic tasks: improvisation, composition and formwork. In line with the aims of the dance and music edu-cation and choral singing programmes, composition is the type of task mainly proposed in the contemporary dance and music education modules. But this type of task poses two major problems: How does the teacher manage these teach-ing-learning situations where the students' responses are only slightly modelable a priori? How can we create an environment that is both open - understood as allowing the unexpected to emerge and therefore creativity - and retroactive - allowing precise learning? Based on extracts from video data recorded in the field, we conduct a mesogenetic analysis of learning games and complete this analysis with an approach to teacher praxeologies based on observations and discursive data collected during semi-directive and comprehen-sive interviews. We thus observe the co-constructed reference that results from this.
