Modifications de l'environnement dans les Aurès (Algérie) au cours de l'Holocène

Abstract : In the Aurès mountains, the Holocene is subdivided into four periods. Before 6 300 BP, the arid, lower Holocene is especially caracterised by eolian sandy deposits. From 6 300 BP to 4 300 BP, the humid Neolithic is a period of important pedogenesis under forest vegetation and of slow and regular flows. The post-Neolithic dessication produces the reappearance of eolian deposits and mechanical weathering. Finally, the historic period begins by a humid pulsation (towards 2 270 BP ?) before the erosion of soils due to Roman colonization, followed by cuting of wadis.
