Peggy Guggenheim : de Marseille à Venise : Compte rendu de conférence (18 juin 2021)

Abstract : Peggy Guggenheim took an important part in Modern Art history by investing her own money in abstract and vanguard European artist's paintings and sulptures (Brancusi, Ernst, Calder, Miro...). Leaded by her idea of creating a Modern Art museum, she gave help to many European artists by buying and collecting "one picture a day". Her grand-daughter Karole Vail followed her steps and is the current director of Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. She held a conference on this Modern Art history's major figure on June 18th 2021.
