La poética de la errancia en el Don Quijote

Abstract : From the verse that academic Argamasilla dedicated to Don Quixote in II, 52 («aquel que enRocinante errando anduvo»), this paper proposes to read Cervantes’ text as as a poetic of «errar» taken in allits polysemy: travel in a given space, but also error and madness (subject to games of paradoxical reversal). Inprobably intertextual relationship with the text of Huarte on «capricious» wits, the wandering is alsomanifested in Cervantes’ writing, configured as an inventive writing, which moves out of the traditional waysand models. Wandering, hesitation and uncertainty also affect the narrative instances, space, time, name ofcharacters and even the story, which moves and fluctuates continually, between several versions, readings andinterpretations. Don Quixoteis therefore defined as a text in perpetual motion, which can not be linkedfixedly to any code, any voice, any single version of history: a literary comet travelling throught all models, alltexts, all versions, but staying in none
