Introducing the concept of 'open texture', H. L. A. Hart highlighted one of the main difficulties in applying normative texts: disagreements generated by the inevitable vagueness of terms used to formulate these texts. In this contribution, we propose to reconsider this observation, which will lead us to clarify it in order to confirm it, but also to continue modestly the analysis of the Oxford master by trying to understand better the vagueness of the terms and its consequences in the resolution of the disagreements it gives rise to.
