Analyse contextuelle des volontés d'apprentissage du français au Népal - Le cas de la Jyota Kunja Academy de Thansing
Abstract
The Jyoti Kunja Academy is a Nepalese private school that grants an exclusive role to English as the language of instruction and the status of the first foreign language taught in French. It presents this language policy as one of the major levers for the professional future of its learners. This article aims to evaluate and analyze the adequacy of the choice of French as the first other foreign language taught, after English, with the desires of learners. The results of this research indicate a very strong capacity of the Jyoti Kunja Academy to welcome French as a major teaching. Following this analysis of the situation, we will propose some measures to improve and optimize the teaching of French in this microcontext.
La Jyoti Kunja Academy est une école privée népalaise qui accorde un rôle exclusif à l'anglais comme langue d'enseignement et le statut de première autre langue étrangère enseignée au français. Elle présente cette politique linguistique comme l'un des leviers majeurs pour l'avenir professionnel de ses apprenants. Cet article vise à évaluer et analyser l'adéquation du choix du français comme première autre langue étrangère enseignée, après l'anglais, avec les désirs des apprenants. Les résultats de cette recherche indiquent une très forte capacité de la Jyoti Kunja Academy à accueillir le français comme un enseignement majeur. Suite à cette analyse de la situation, nous proposerons certaines mesures afin d'améliorer et optimiser l'enseignement du français dans ce microcontexte.
